About Us

My name is Alexa Mina & I am the CEO & Owner of Cedars Nutrition.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and am a multi-certified nutrition coach and sports performance nutrition coach. I am an international Olympic weightlifting medalist and compete internationally in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting representing my country, Lebanon. I am also the second woman in history to compete AND win a medal for Lebanon in weightlifting.

I've worked with thousands of people and athletes just like you with all different levels of goals. I love nothing more than helping people find freedom, confidence & empowerment by paying more attention to their nutrition and specific macronutrient intake.

Throughout grade school, I was involved in sports via competitive cheerleading. Shortly after I was introduced to the CrossFit and Weightlifting world. In 2016, I decided to train for a weightlifting competition and in doing this, I soon realized how important eating enough and enough of the right foods mattered to achieve peak performance. Through this journey, I found success with tracking my macronutrients and ensuring I was giving my body top-notch fuel.

This is what led to my passion for helping others in the nutrition and sports industry. Over the last 7 years in the nutrition space, I've made it my mission to help others change their lives by finding what methods work for them within their own nutrition to reach their goals.

‘In January 2023 I decided to pursue a dream of mine and open my own coaching business. Throughout my years of coaching others, I learned so much about what I wanted to be able to offer my clients. The specific type of coaching, the personalized connection, the support, the individuality of it all, these are all a vital part of nutrition coaching and how I wanted to support my clients. And this is exactly how and why Cedars Nutrition was born.

I have experience working with people of ALL levels from complete beginners to extremely high-level athletes like Olympic Weightlifting Olympians, national and international level weightlifters, Crossfit Games Athletes, and more.

Come as you are. I’m ready to help you make nutrition something that excites you, empowers you, educates you, and motivates you to be the best and strongest version of yourself. #CedarStrong

Coach Faith Wyand

Faith started her nutrition and fitness journey in 2017 when she was introduced to CrossFit. Once she was exposed to the nutrition and fitness world she really struggled with her relationship with food. Instead of eating to make sure her body was fed and fueled, she found herself having constant food anxiety.

This phase of her life had a huge impact on her and ultimately showed her that she needed to change how she viewed food. She made it her mission to work hard to fix her relationship with food and through this, she found herself wanting to help others through similar challenges with their nutrition.

After she switched to training Olympic weightlifting two years ago, she committed to making fueling for performance nutritionally her sole priority. She saw incredible success and progress with this, both in and out of the gym. She knew immediately that this was something that she really wanted to do; to help others feel THIS good about their nutrition and how they fuel their body.

Her main goal is to help clients create a healthy mindset with food while also helping them reach their nutrition/health goals simultaneously. She is ready to help others achieve their goals by dialing in their nutrition here at Cedars Nutrition and is currently taking clients!

Coach Jessie Bradley Stemo

My name is Jessie Bradley Stemo and I am a Nutrition Coach here at Cedars Nutrition. In addition to coaching nutrition, I am a USAW National Coach and the director of coaching at Power and Grace Performance Weightlifting. I have been competing in the sport of weightlifting since 2013 and coaching since 2016. I have represented Team USA on over 10 international teams and I was the second U.S. non-super female weightlifter to total 250+kg.

I LOVE the sport of weightlifting and throughout the years in this sport, I've found my love for the health and nutrition space as well. I have grown passionate about helping other clients reach their goals whether that be a total on an international stage, feeling strong and confident in their body, finding what nutritional methods work for their lifestyle, or seeing them hitting a lift they’ve been working towards for years. My journey in fitness and weightlifting started with Crossfit at a young age, and since then I have been lucky enough to work with and learn from some of the best weightlifting and nutrition coaches in the country. Nutrition is crucial for performance and has remained a focus and priority for me throughout my own weightlifting career. I've been on both extremes during periods of weight gain to fill out my weight class to having to cut weight as well. In both scenarios, I have been able to see so clearly how proper nutrition has impacted both my own training and that of athletes I have worked with too. Nutrition is something that impacts every aspect of our lives. It is my goal to help people find the tools they need to reach their goals and be happy and healthy in EVERY area of their lives.

Coach Maddison Pannell

My name is Maddison and I am a multi-certified nutrition coach at Cedars Nutrition. I have been a competitive athlete competing in Olympic Weightlifting since December of 2019. I have won multiple medals and national titles and was able to win a bronze medal at the 2022 Pan Am Championships representing Team USA!

To make my first international weightlifting team, I decided to cut down a weight class, and to be honest, I had no idea what I was doing. I had no prior education in nutrition besides the basics of how to eat ‘healthy’. I had never tracked my food/calories before and I had no idea how much food I needed to be eating to fuel my training properly let alone to compete well in competition.

Cutting down a weight class was not the hard part for me, it was maintaining that weight sustainably when I wasn’t competing. During this process, I developed a terrible relationship with food and sought out help for the eating disorder I developed. I struggled in silence until I competed at Pan Ams when I finally realized I needed help.

I was able to educate myself more than ever throughout this process and took it upon myself to further my education surrounding nutrition. The more I educated myself the easier it was to overcome my struggle. I learned how valuable food can be when you utilize it properly and this slowly became a passion of mine to make sure others didn't struggle the way that I did.

The one thing I wish I had done sooner was to reach out to a nutrition coach when I was struggling. Nutrition coaching can be such a valuable tool regardless of your goals. Once people realize food is a multifaceted tool, their lives can truly change for the better.

Before I committed to training full-time, I was involved heavily in nutrition coaching and helping others reach their goals. During my time away from nutrition coaching I realized that this was something I was truly missing throughout my life; a void that needed to be filled. That feeling you get when you help people accomplish something; that is what I was missing in my life. I am so excited to be taking on clients under Cedars Nutrition.

My goal is to work alongside my clients to help them reach their goals, whether that be to improve their relationship with food, improve their confidence in themselves, fuel their performance better for their sport, or simply just educate themselves better on how to eat better. I am excited to change people's lives through their own unique nutrition journey and share how nutrition can impact their lives in such a positive way just like it was able to impact my own.
